Why you should do winter training and internship program?
WHY SHOULD YOU DO WINTER TRAINING / INTERNSHIP PROGRAM?
The question that might always come to your mind: Why should we do Winter Training or Internship ? Shouldn’t we enjoy our holidays? Shouldn’t we go and travel around, have fun with friends and family.
Similar question came to I-Medita’s CEO’s mind but in a different form. Why students waste time during winter break? Why don’t they invest time in learning real technology rather waste year long time in regular courses and in the end get nothing in hand? Why students study 48 theory subjects and 30 Lab subjects in 4 years of engineering and similar during any other graduation degree like BSc, MSc, BCA, MCA. Later being specialized in none even after spending 4 gorgeous and most energetic years of their life?
Both the questions are totally valid and there are multiple answers for both of them. However, we tried to mention few answers which could satisfy both questions.
During interviews many students do not have anything to write in their expertise section, winter training and winter internship helps you to decide your specialized technology and make a career in same in the longer run.
Why winter training / internship is better than sleeping in bed in cozy winters?
Many students will be thinking the same. Sleeping and basking in sun will do nothing good but if you will step out for some learning, you get to develop your network of peer students and trainer and so many different people during the training. Also, it is greatly said, only bad time spent is the time spent doing nothing. You will be investing your time in real time learning which will help you get one step ahead of your colleagues, fellow peers and an official and recognized internship certificate under your belt.
It is not only about doing winter trainings from anywhere but it’s also about doing it in the right technology and in a real and practical environment which I-Medita is mainly known for. Many students ask us why don’t you do Java/C/C++ trainings and we have straight forward answer for them. We only focus on latest and future associate technologies and so, we launched Big Data and Cloud Computing this time as cutting edge training module and clubbed them together to bring flavor of both technologies in student’s mind.
Just mentioning certificates in your CV/ Resume is not going to get you knowledge and neither a good JOB.
Planning for Masters from US? Or M.Tech /PHd from anywhere?
Better buckle up every day and spend time in your learning and getting real time world experience by working hand in hand with companies, becoming their campus ambassadors or by doing trainings/internships whether paid or unpaid.
Have training in different cities with your friends and have fun with learning.
Many students go out of town to do internships and trainings in different cities with group of friends and have fun and learn new things about new place and people. Learn not only the technology but how to be independent and how to take smallest decisions of what to eat to how to travel and also, how to save money. Winter trainings and winter internships apart from learning technology can help you in hundred of new things that you have not seen or imagined.
I cannot afford winter trainings, better I sleep home thought:
Well, you are already spending 4 year of your life which is invaluable, more than 5 lakhs in your engineering or graduation, more than 10,000 every half year in your movies, parties and other fun activity. So spending 4000-15000 in trainings is nothing but an investment for your upper body part i.e. brain. We tend to invest on wishes of our body parts below brain but thrice we think while buying books, video tutorials etc. It’s time to invest in your learning.
Every interviewer was a student once too, they know certificates can be bought at certain price, but what he needs his/her team member to have some knowledge before he trains him/her as per his company’s standards.
I hope you are enjoying the reminder that you need to wake up and start learning.. 😉
Projects during winter trainings / internships.
Another thing that must be taken into consideration is working on real time projects and making projects on simulators, emulators during your training and prepare seminar reports and project reports for your minor and major projects to be submitted in the college and get an edge over lazy students who just tend to copy and paste things and are neither good in academics neither real time technology.
New Year resolutions 😉
