Industrial Visit at Pune’s Biggest Cisco Training Lab by SIT College, Lonavala
Not a visible enthusiasm but a hidden one, an excitement burning with a cold flame.
The above quote completely defines the feeling of the students of the Sinhgad Institute of Technology College, Lonavala. The students and faculties were all geared up for the Industrial Visit Session where over 50 students want to know all about networking.
Networking is a vast field, it’s the backbone of IT industry and hence proper knowledge of this field is necessary. And no one better than I-Medita Institute with Cisco Certified Trainers and Cisco Trainings Labs can train and make students enjoy these networking sessions.
I-Medita Learning Solutions Pvt Ltd. is renowned for providing trainings in Cisco Networking. It has Maharashtra’s Biggest Cisco Networking Labs. Sinhgad Institute of Technology College joined hands with I-Medita Institute to arrange an Industrial Visit for students.
On January 17, 2017, the day started with a full-fledged preparation for the session. Around 50 registrations were taken and thus making a great number for the Industrial Visit.
Cisco Certified Trainer Mr. Sugandh Kansal took the initial session training the students on ‘What is Networking’, ‘What are its career opportunities’, ‘Future scope of Networking’, ‘Cisco Real Deceives – Routers and Switches’, ‘How is Networking important to us’ and ‘Role of Networking in Real Life’. Along with him, Mr. Surendra (Cisco Certified CCIE Routing and Switching – Written) trainer helped in explaining all the concepts on the Real Cisco devices.
There was a proper seating arrangement and the lab facility is available all day long on which the practical demonstration was showed to all.
The topics covered during Industrial Visit were:
- Area Networks ( LAN, MAN, WAN, PAN)
- CSMA/CD technology and topologies.
- OSI Ref Model and TCP/IP Ref Model.
- Fast Ethernet and installation of physical components for Wi-Fi.
- Networking, coding of devices, Subnet Masking.
- IPv4 and IPv6 protocols and coding.

Afterward, there was the question and answer session which was the main program, where our trainers solved all the student’s doubts properly and learned the working of the curious minds of the young heads.
It was an amazing experience for us. The day ended with a smile on everyone’s face. Thus, making us encouraged to arrange such more session.
