Story of Sai Prathyusa Gutti student of SRM University, Chennai
I am Sai Pratyusha Gutti, an epistemophilic individual presently, in B.Tech final year with Electronics and Communication Engineering as my major. I’m pursuing my undergraduate degree at SRM University, Chennai. When I was in my 5th semester, the 2-day Workshop on Networking conducted by IBNC & ACES-ACM IIT-Delhi has caught my eye as it was offering in-depth knowledge on Cisco networking on Real Cisco Devices. Without any second thought, I registered for the workshop as not many engineering colleges have Cisco routers and switches in their networking laboratories for student usage.
I partially forewent the techno-management fest, Aarush’14 that was going on at the same time in my University, one of the biggest fests in the country. Trust me, I didn’t regret it. The way the workshop was conducted, by that I mean the topics dealt, the practical session where we solved different problem sets, has deepened my interest in networking. At the end of this workshop a competition was held and 5 people were shortlisted for the Grand Finale that was conducted at IIT-Delhi. I was very excited to attend the Grand Finale and started my preparation right away. But to my dismay I couldn’t attend it due to some personal problems.
However I was lucky enough to be offered a platform to develop my technical skills by interning with I-Medita Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd.. I interned as an Assistant Networking Trainer at DMI Engineering College, Chennai on 19-20 Sept, 2014, VIT, Chennai on 22-23 Jan, 2015 and for the 15 days Summer Training Program at Hyderabad conducted during May, 2015. After they saw my performance as an intern in the first workshop they provided more opportunities to develop my technical skills. In the process of interning with them I not only developed knowledge on networking but also inculcated management skills. Managing a big crowd of students and seeing to it that each and every doubt is cleared, queries answered made me a better, responsible and organisable person. Killing the doubts of students attending the workshop posed a learning challenge to me. Clearing their doubts has enabled me to integrate new concepts to my existing knowledge. The different trainers under whom I interned were very much knowledgeable and helped me with my project ideas. They enlightened me about the scope of this domain in the present industry and encouraged me in my project.
The journey until now is such an unforgettable experience, making a mark in my career path. It is inevitable for me to be grateful to the entire IBNC team and I-Medita Learning Solutions, especially Mr. Saurabh. The atmosphere the team created has made me to feel free to communicate with them for anything. Though I couldn’t meet anyone personally they have extended their support unconditionally. Saurabh sir has not only provided me such a great platform but also helped me with my admission process to graduate program at US by expressing his recommendation. I’m sure that this healthy association with IBNC will earn me admission into the good US universities. Hope this learning journey with IBNC continues in the forthcoming years.
